Remembrance 2020
To honor the seven crewmembers at the General Cemetery in Diever, regularly a remembrance ceremony takes place. Previous ceremonies were held on April 2014 and April 2018. On 2020 the remembrance ceremony will take place on April 25th, anticipatory on the Mai 4th Remembrance and the Mai 5th celebrations.
Because of '75 years of liberation' this remembrance ceremony will be more extensive than the previous. The program for the time being is:
10.00 hr.
depart from the Pancratius Church in Diever to the General Cemetery.
11.00 hr.
remembrance ceremony at the Cemetery with support of Scouting Diever, Royal Canadian Legion, Kelowna drums- and piperband (60 members), The Seaforth Highlanders, militaire and dignitaries.
12.00 hr.
end of the ceremony
ca. 13.00 hr.
start of the liberation concert at the Pancratius Church by Kelowna drums- and piperband and music association VCE Westerveld. This concert is free for the public.
